The Lower East Side (LES) summer Stickball games at Rutgers create a strong sense of community. Each summer, a schedule is sent to participants, marking when the corner of Rutgers and Madison Street will be closed for the games. Community member Otto Gomez has played a key role in organizing the event and fostering a positive, united environment.
